Angela Stead is the heart behind Genius Early Years, a passionate educator and entrepreneur dedicated to reimagining early childhood education. With a deep belief that every child is born with unique genius, Angela created Genius Early Years to support teachers, centres, and families in nurturing that brilliance from the very beginning.
Drawing on decades of experience and a strong grounding in Te Whāriki, Angela designs tools, programs, and professional learning that are play-based, bi-cultural, and deeply rooted in a humanitarian approach to learning. Her mission is to create environments where tamariki feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore the world through curiosity, creativity, and connection.
Angela’s leadership combines vision and practicality—helping educators bring meaningful change into everyday practice. Through Genius Early Years, she continues to spark a movement that celebrates the spirit, strengths, and potential of every child.
