Claire Acton

Visiting Teacher

I’m Claire, an educator who has taught in a wide range of roles over the years. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel supported, confident, and able to grow. I’m known for being patient, organised, and adaptable, with a genuine love for helping others learn.

Outside of work, life is busy in the best way. My husband Tim is a hardworking flooring contractor, and our kids keep things lively: Briar, who’s nine and happiest when she’s dancing, and Cole, who’s two and is always on a mission. Add two cats, a dog, and a fish, and there’s never a dull moment. I love anything crafty, cooking and spending quality time with my family.

I’m genuinely thrilled to be stepping into the Visiting Teacher role, and I already feel excited about what’s ahead. It’s a privilege to support tamariki, whānau, and educators/nannies in this way, and I can’t wait to start building those connections. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone over the next wee while and getting stuck into the work together.
