Kia Ora,
My name is Kristin, and I am the Operations coordinator for Genius Early Years.
My interest in Early Childhood started 20 years ago taking my three children to Playcentre. It was here I decided I wanted to continue in a career teaching young children and I returned to university to complete my Teaching Degree. In-home childcare aligned with my belief of children learning better in a quieter environment with small ratios, where they can make great connections following each child’s interests to enable them to learn to their full potential. After a few years in a busy centre environment, I started as a visiting teacher with an in-home provider and have been in this sector since. I love seeing the wonderful relationships develop between our educators, children and whanau.
In my spare time I spend time with my family and getting outdoors where I enjoy walks and gardening.
